American hair repair has spent five years being about one idea, and the bottles say so on the front. The Korean aisle went somewhere else. What you find there is protein in large pump bottles, leave-in oils sold by the wall, and a scalp category treated as seriously as any of it. None of that is new or exotic. It is just a different set of defaults, at prices that make trying them cheap.

Ten products, and three of them are one brand: miseenscéne makes the leave-in oil that is close to a national default in Korea, and we have put its shampoo and its light treatment beside it because the three make more sense together than apart. The centrepiece is UNOVE, Dr. FORHAIR's damage line, which is the one our founder rates above everything else here. We have listed the 40ml rather than the big tube, on purpose: nine dollars is the honest way to find out whether you want to own the 320ml forever.

Two of these carry names we are not going to repeat as claims. Ryo's shampoo is called Hair Loss Expert Care and aromatica's tonic is called Root Enhancer. Those are the products' names. We can tell you that one is a genuinely clarifying herbal shampoo for an oily scalp and the other is a watery tonic that dries without residue, and that is where we stop.

Two practical notes. Everything here ships from Hong Kong, and lead times vary by item, so read the line on the product page. And the UNOVE 320ml, the size most people eventually want, was out of stock the day we built this. The 40ml is the same formula.
